The Wikipedia’s Wikimedia foundation doesn’t want to be a slave to high video bandwidth costs. Instead, it is using BitTorrent-based P2P technology to distribute the growing amount of video on Wikipedia.org. Great article! I think Wikipedia is definitely going in the right direction in solving its bandwidth problem.
Our Novacut project will eventually have a iTunes-like player that will use peer to peer. No reason to waste bandwidth, especially when a movie/TV show is on your local network. Plus we want to make face-to-face sharing fun again. It's just part of how entertainment should be enjoyed.
